Built With Purpose
Building a Symfony registration platform for a men's ministry event I personally attended. An honest retrospective on technical decisions, design trade-offs, and what I'd approach completely differently next time.
I'm Jordan Wamser — a preacher, teacher, and web developer based in Salina, Kansas.
I spent nearly a decade building software professionally, leading projects, and solving hard
problems at the intersection of technology and people. I still believe good work done
faithfully matters.
In 2025, after a season of transition and surrender, I felt God's clear invitation to step into
ministry. Like Peter lowering his nets at a word he didn't fully understand yet — I said yes.
This space is where both worlds meet: the trade I've built and the calling I'm walking into.

The platform includes dual registration pathways for attendees and servers, backed by a custom admin dashboard that handles registration management, scholarship tracking, leadership role assignments, and event check-in workflows — giving organizers a centralized tool to manage all aspects of a multi-location weekend retreat from registration through arrival.
